भारतीय डाक ने ग्रामीण डाक सेवक (GDS) पदों की भर्ती के लिए अधिसूचना जारी की है। योग्य और इच्छुक उम्मीदवार 15 जुलाई से 05 अगस्त 2024 तक indiapostgdsonline.gov.in पर ऑनलाइन आवेदन कर सकते हैं। आवेदन 06 से 08 अगस्त 2024 तक संपादित किया जा सकता है। इन रिक्तियों को वित्तीय वर्ष 2024-25 के लिए ग्रामीण डाक सेवक (GDS), शाखा पोस्टमास्टर (BPM) और सहायक शाखा पोस्टमास्टर (ABPM)/डाक सेवक के लिए भरा जाएगा।
देशभर में एंध्र प्रदेश, असम, बिहार, छत्तीसगढ़, दिल्ली, गुजरात, हरियाणा, हिमाचल प्रदेश, जम्मू कश्मीर, झारखंड, कर्नाटक, केरल, मध्य प्रदेश, महाराष्ट्र, उत्तर पूर्व, ओडिशा, पंजाब, राजस्थान, तमिलनाडु, तेलंगाना, उत्तर प्रदेश, उत्तराखंड और पश्चिम बंगाल में कुल 44228 रिक्तियां अधिसूचित की गई हैं।
यह उन उम्मीदवारों के लिए एक सुनहरा अवसर है जो 10वीं पास हैं और सरकारी नौकरी के लिए अभ्यर्थी हैं। उम्मीदवारों की आयु 18 से 40 वर्ष के बीच होनी चाहिए। उम्मीदवारों का चयन कक्षा 10वीं में प्राप्त अंकों की मेरिट के आधार पर किया जाएगा।

10th class Secondary School Examination Passed Certificate with passing in Mathematics and English from any school education board recognized by the Government of India/State Governments/Union Territories in India will be the mandatory educational qualification for all accepted categories of GDS.

Application Fee:
The applicants will pay a fee of Rs.1oo (Rupees one hundred only) for all posts notified in choice of Division. However, payment of fee is exempted for all female applicants, SC /ST applicants, PwD applicants and Transwomen applicants.

Selection Criteria
(i)
The applicants will be shortlisted for engagement based on a system-generated merit list.
(ii)
The Merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained/conversion of Grades/Points to marks (as explained in sub paras – iii to xiii below) in the Secondary School Examination of 10th standard of recognized Boards aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals.
(iii)
For applicants where the Secondary School Examination of 10th standard mark sheet contains the marks as mentioned in each subject or marks and Grade/Points both, their total marks will be worked out by taking into account the ‘marks obtained’. If any applicant applies with grades/points instead of marks, his/her application will be liable for cancellation. However, if for any particular subject(s) only grades are mentioned in the mark sheet then for that subject(s) grades can be mentioned, and the same need not be converted to the marks by the candidates.
(iv)
For applicants having only grades subject-wise marks will be arrived for each subject, by applying the multiplying factor of 9.5 in the following manner:
